A timeline of key milestones, strategic meetings, and pivotal developments that laid the foundation for our mission, focusing on building connections, refining our strategy, and preparing for impactful action
March was a pivotal month, marking the official start of my journey with Leap of Faith. Essential connections were made, signs and bible verses affirmed my mission, and by the end of the month, the nonprofit was legally registered in California. This month laid the groundwork for what’s to come.
In February, I split my time between my tech job and volunteering, dedicating equal hours to both. During this period, I encountered themes of commitment and obedience through sermons and my Bible study. A specific verse from Revelation prompted me to re-evaluate my commitments. Feeling a deeper call to dedicate myself to God's path, I resigned from the tech company on February 20th, concluding my tenure there on Leap Day. This decision marked a significant shift towards taking a leap of faith.
Guided by the Lord through daily Bible studies, I felt a strong call to volunteer and signed up at a local homeless encampment. This experience awakened a conviction in my heart to serve others, compelling me to submit a two-week notice at my tech job. Further discussions at a tradeshow and with a life coach confirmed my decision, leading me to negotiate a part-time work arrangement. This adjustment marked a significant shift toward dedicating my life to service and faith.
